What is Scheduled Maintenance?
Scheduled Maintenance is a list of services required by the manufacturer, performed at various mileage intervals, to keep your vehicle in good working order. Maintenance schedules usually vary from year, make, and model, but often follow a 30K-60K-90K+ schedule. You can usually find your vehicle’s maintenance schedule within the owner’s manual or can visit the manufacturer’s web page for more information. It’s important to be familiar with your vehicle and to stay on top of the recommended services. In some cases, completing the minimum services is necessary to keep a vehicle’s warranty in good standing.
Can New Dimensions perform maintenance without voiding my warranty?
Yes! First, make sure your vehicle does not have FREE Scheduled Maintenance from the manufacturer. If it does, you may want to schedule an appointment with a dealer. If not, New Dimensions Automotive is certified and can perform scheduled maintenance on most makes and models without compromising the vehicle’s warranty. We keep electronic records by VIN and customer name and provide you with a receipt for your records. Our labor rates are typically 10-20% lower than a dealer, but our expertise and customer service is not. We only use quality products specific to your vehicle’s application.

Common Maintenance
OIL CHANGES
Engine oil is vital to keeping your engine functioning properly. An engine is comprised of many moving parts that create friction and heat. Engine oil keeps the engine parts lubricated and moving without overheating or wearing down. It’s essential to change the engine oil as recommended by the manufacturer, or even more frequently in extreme conditions. Always use quality lubricants designed for your specific vehicle model.
FLUID FLUSHES
There are several other fluids in a vehicle that become dirty or contaminated over time and use. In order to avoid damaging parts, fluids should be changed as recommended by the manufacturer. New Dimensions Automotive offers professional services to include:
- Air Conditioning Service
- Power Steering Flush
- Fuel Injection Service
- GDI Service
- Radiator Service
- Transmission Flush and Services
- And many more
FILTERS
Every vehicle has filters that require regular maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer, or more frequently depending on environmental and driving conditions. Some of the filters in your vehicle are:
- Air Filter: prevents insects, debris, and particles from reaching the engine
- Cabin Filter: cleans air cycling through the interior
- Oil Filter: removes contaminants from engine oil and keeps oil flowing continuously
- Fuel Filter: removes impurities and grit from the fuel protecting your fuel injectors and fuel pump
TIRES
Maintaining the tires on your vehicle is necessary for safe driving. Inspect tires regularly for the following:
- Tire Pressure: each manufacturer provides optimum tire pressure for the vehicle; in most cases 30-35 PSI.
- Tread Depth: make sure the tread is more than 2/32″
- Expiration Date: most tires expire after 6-years
- Tire Rotations: It’s important to rotate tires every 6-months or 6K miles for proper wear
- Damage or Dry-rot: check for punctures, tears, and sun damage
ALIGNMENTS
Having an alignment check performed annually, or more often when driving on uneven surfaces or rough terrain, is a good idea to keep your vehicle driving straight and prevent improper or excessive wear of your tires and suspension.
BATTERIES
In general a good battery should last anywhere from 18-24 months in Arizona, but it is always good practice to have your battery inspected and tested with each oil change. If the battery is showing signs of failure it is important to replace the battery immediately to avoid being left stranded.
BRAKES
How long your brakes last is dependent on many factors to include your vehicle’s design and your driving habits. Typically brakes should last 25,000 – 75,000 miles, however, you should always consult your owner’s manual for your vehicle’s specific needs. Complimentary brake inspections are performed by certified technicians at New Dimensions Automotive during each oil change, and you will be notified if your brake pads, rotors, shoes, or drums are nearing end of life.
