COMPUTER DIAGNOSTICS: Includes use of computer/electronic diagnostic scanners to help determine problem. Scanned for dtcs and found C1616 – CAN bus off, b1493 – PODS communication error, and C1692 – CAN timeout VSM. Inspected under hood and found positive battery terminal very loose. Tightened battery terminals, cleared dtc's and test drove vehicle. Customer concern and DTC's did not return.

BASIC DIAGNOSTICS: 0.5hrs diagnostic time to inspect vehicle. Found serpentine belt intact. Vehicle would not start. Attempted to start with jump box, vehicle still would not start. Removed spark plugs and tried to turn engine over by hand. Found engine seized and unable to move. Drained oil to find level very low (1.2 quarts) and very dark. Oil change was 4 thousand miles over due according to vehicle and service sticker. Catastrophic internal engine damage has occurred. Will need engine assembly.
