Engine Diagnostics
Think of how many different types of vehicles are on the streets today. There are dozens of manufacturers, and hundreds of vehicle models, each of which changes in design from year to year. There are many types of engines with different engineering theories, from gasoline, diesel, flex-fuel, and hybrids, even electric-powered motors. Engines vary in size and power, and the computer technology and electronics associated with engines today also vary in complexity. You can probably imagine it takes quite the education to understand all of the engines in vehicles today, and even more knowledge and experience to fix them when something goes wrong.
The first step to fixing engine problems is engine diagnostics. It’s important to take your vehicle to a certified repair shop you can trust. Make sure they are equipped with diagnostic scanners, and software, and have the educational background and certifications to prove they know what they are doing. Some shops may employ ASE technicians, but are they experienced in engine diagnostics on your particular vehicle? Make sure your shop is well-versed in your vehicle’s manufacturer, keeping in mind that Asian imports, European imports, and domestic vehicles vary in engineering.
Many engine problems are related to maintenance issues and can be repaired by changing consumable or wearable parts, like gaskets and seals. Other problems can be more complicated to diagnose, may be internal to the engine, and require some dismantling of the engine to inspect and test. New Dimensions Automotive can inspect, scan, test, and troubleshoot engine problems to provide you with an accurate diagnostics report and repair estimate. Should you decide to repair your vehicle, we are here to complete the job! Learn more about our engine repairs then give us a call (480) 218-0096 to schedule engine diagnostics today.

New Dimensions Automotive has completed hundreds of engine repairs over the last 15 years, on a wide range of vehicle manufacturers and models. We are experienced in repairs ranging from engine components like spark plugs, pistons, valves, crankshafts, gaskets, and seals, all the way to engine rebuilds and replacements.
All of our engine repairs come with a Nationwide Limited Warranty administered by Certified Auto.
When it comes to engines, customers are often presented with a tough decision. If the engine has failed, it’s likely due to high mileage (it has reached its life expectancy), and the cost to repair your vehicle may surpass the vehicle’s value. Keep in mind, replacing the engine does NOT make your vehicle like new again! Other vehicle components have also aged, just like your engine, and will likely fail with time. Additional repairs to various parts like the radiator, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, brakes, suspension, etc. can add up quickly on an aging vehicle. If your vehicle requires an engine repair, our service department will present you with an estimate and offer you honest advice on whether to proceed with the repair.
At New Dimensions Automotive we work on engines every single day. Most sensible engine repairs can be completed within a day or two. However, bigger jobs like engine rebuilds or replacements, are labor-intensive and require a technician to spend several days, sometimes longer, working on your vehicle. Due to the time and complexity of these repairs, we accept large engine repair jobs at our discretion. If we are unable to accept your engine repair job, we are happy to refer you to an engine repair shop in our area.
