- Removed timing cover and inspected timing components. Noticed excessive slack on timing belt. Found tensioner compressed and fluid leaking from tensioner. Timing belt tensioner has failed. More than likely has caused engine damage due to engine being interface motor. Timing kit from auto zone . Valves likely bent/damaged and will likely need to be replaced. Will refer to H and I automotive for further diagnosis/repair.
- Vehicle has been towed to H&I Auto for further diagnosis and repairs.
- Parts provided at H&I: VC Gaskets, cylinder head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, injector plate gaskets, bore plate seal, intake manifold gasket top cover, spark plug tube seals, o-ring coolant crossover pipe under intake, thermostat housing block gaskets, cylinder head cam gaskets, camshaft, iridium spark plugs 6x H&I installed timing belt/water pump/guides tensioner kit provided by New Dimensions. H&I sublet heads repair to S&S Machine shop. Autozone warranty payment provided in full due to defective part/failure causing engine damage.
